Today we had our dear friends join in our advent fun. We made these fun hand print ornaments. It's so fun for me to watch Sawyer have little people to play with. The fact that he's playing with my childhood friends kids just makes it all the more special. Katie and I were able to sit and have coffee while the kids played. I was having flashbacks to our tea parties at my house with our top secret recipe of milk and sugar. :-) So many memories together now all these years later we are making more and our kids are making them with us. I feel incredibly blessed!
The ornaments were flour,salt, and water. I saw several posts on pintrest about these hand print ornaments and wanted to try.

Baking at 300 degrees for 50 minutes
Painting wooden ornaments while we wait on the hand prints
Didn't get any pictures of them painting the hand prints. Here are the finished products.
(we also looped ribbon through the hole after the pic was taken)
This cute guy slept through it all.
Our Scripture for the day:
Psalm 89:1-4
Remembering the
Covenant with David, and Sorrow for Lost BlessingsA Contemplation[a] of Ethan the Ezrahite.
I will sing of the mercies of
the Lord forever;
With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all
generations.
For I have said, “Mercy shall
be built up forever;
Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very
heavens.”
“I have made a covenant with
My chosen,
I have sworn to My servant David:
‘Your seed I will
establish forever,
And build up your throne to all generations.’”
